She was about to separate from her husband, after discovering an alleged betrayal, when she learned by chance that he was the lucky winner of the last 6 at Superenalotto, with a stellar prize pool of 88 million euros. And now he wants half of the money.

The story is reported by Il Tempo. According to the Francesco Di Giovanni law firm of Rome, the man who played the lucky bet in Rome, on the Giustiniana road, is a 51-year-old from Naples married to a 45-year-old woman from Rovigo, a home beautician.

However, the two are experiencing "a situation of marital crisis" also linked, according to the note from the law firm, to the husband's betrayal discovered by a private investigator.

The woman, who asked for legal separation and maintenance, apparently learned about the 88 million "thanks to some messages sent by the same man to his sister where he announced the very lucky win".

"We are preparing an application for judicial separation of the spouses to request, in relation to that huge win, maintenance of five thousand euros per month, or, alternatively, a one-off payment of 44 million euros, or half of the win," the lawyer says. "The separation is still ongoing and the spouses have joint ownership of property," he continues, " the rulings of the Court of Cassation are clear: the winnings fall within the legal joint ownership of property even if the bet was made with the personal money of one of the two ."
