A 40-year-old woman and her thirteen-year-old daughter were found dead in an apartment on Via Domodossola, Turin. According to initial investigations, the case appears to have been a murder-suicide. The mother apparently strangled her daughter before taking her own life using a noose or rope .
According to reports, the bodies were found by the other nineteen-year-old daughter, and it was she who called for help. The 118 emergency services from Azienda Zero responded to the apartment and attempted to resuscitate the thirteen-year-old, but were unsuccessful.
The shocked sister was taken to Maria Vittoria Hospital. The forty-year-old, who had separated from her husband some time ago, lived alone with her two daughters.
The police flying squad and the coroner are working on site.
