Shooting in Milan . The alarm was raised in Rogoredo shortly after 3 p.m., when a 25-year-old foreigner of Chinese origin, after stealing a gun from a security guard who was on his way to work , opened fire on the officers who intercepted him in the street.

The police then returned fire and seriously injured him.

The young man was transported by 118 paramedics to the Niguarda hospital with a red code .

The initial forensic investigations are already underway, and the area where the shooting took place has been cordoned off by dozens of officers.

According to the reconstruction, the young man, an illegal immigrant in Italy, hit the security guard of about 50 years old on the head with a stick while he was walking to work , and then stole the pistol he was carrying, a Walther P99.

He then headed towards the outskirts of the city where, around 3:15 PM, he encountered the armored Land Cruiser of the UOPI, the specialized first response unit of the State Police , at which he fired at least three shots . The officers then returned fire, hitting him.
