“He looks like Tiziano Ferro”: the thief of the VIPs nailed, shots worth half a million euros

He saw him run away while darting aboard the car but he did not miss a certain resemblance to Tiziano Ferro: and it was precisely this detail that was fatal for the criminal.
The 42-year-old, one of the 3 recipients of the precautionary custody order carried out this morning by the police for 6 thefts in the homes of VIPs also committed in the historic center of Milan between September 2020 and February 2021, was identified precisely because of his appearance with the famous singer.
He had scored well-studied shots with his accomplices, aged 34 and 32. According to what emerges from the provision signed by the investigating judge of Milan, Lorenza Pasquinelli, the gang monitored the owners of the house waiting for the moment in which they would leave the keys at the concierge. Then they took advantage of the caretaker's distraction to take them away.
The total value of the shots - including cash, jewels, stones and watches - was estimated at around half a million euros.
THE STORY - A witness saw the 42-year-old escape in a car immediately after a private theft occurred in Maria Teresa on January 15, 2021. The man said he heard the three alleged thieves speak in Italian but above all he put in the minutes to remember the driver of the car "because he strongly resembles the well-known singer Tiziano Ferro".
This circumstance was then verified by the police by comparing the photos found on the 42-year-old's social profile, who according to investigators has "a remarkable resemblance to the pop singer".
AT THE HOUSE OF CECILIA RODRIGUEZ - During the investigation, however, the three were also suspected of being the perpetrators of the shot at the home of showgirl Cecilia Rodriguez, who between 5 and 7 February 2021 suffered the theft of two Rolex watches "owned by the Comrade Ignazio Moser ", a Louis Vuitton suitcase, 4 Chanel bags and several designer glasses.
According to the investigating judge, the elements collected are not sufficient to challenge the three recipients of the order also this episode as "the presence of the suspects at the scene of the crime was detected in this case only in the days preceding the theft - moreover placed on February 5 2021 only hypothetically - with the consequence that even though it is possible to suspect the traceability of this crime to the current suspects - due to the similarity of the modus operandi and the reasonable presence of the same at the crime scene in the days preceding it for the necessary inspections - it is not possible to raise this simple and reasonable suspicion to a real circumstantial element ".
