An eighty-year-old woman living in Chiavari (Genoa) was killed in her home.

After the discovery of the body, the carabinieri began an investigation, arresting the nephew who lived with her.

It was his grandson, Simone Monteverdi, who called the police after killing his elderly grandmother, Andreina Canepa. "Grandma is dead but I'm fine," he said on the emergency number.

When the soldiers arrived at the apartment with the doctor they found the woman lifeless and her nephew covered in blood. "First we argued," was her first story to investigators, "then I hit her with a pair of scissors that I threw out the window."

The investigations are entrusted to the public prosecutor Francesca Rombolà and the coroner Sara Lo Pinto.
