A car crossed into the opposite lane, overtaking three vehicles despite the solid line, and hit a group of cyclists.

A cyclist, a 41-year-old Romanian woman, died instantly. The other two suffered minor injuries and later reported the incident to investigators.

The Palermo Prosecutor's Office is investigating and has ordered breathalyzer and drug tests on the driver.
