He clears the ground near the tracks, but he has headphones on and can't hear the train: 17-year-old hit and killed

A 17-year-old boy living in Campobello di Mazara (Trapani) died after being hit by a train on the Trapani-Castelvetrano line , near the San Nicola district.

The accident occurred this morning. According to the Railway Police, the young man, of Tunisian origin, apparently didn't notice the train traveling toward Castelvetrano because he was wearing headphones . The impact was fatal. Rail traffic was interrupted for several hours.

The seventeen-year-old lived in Campobello di Mazara with his parents: when he was hit by the train he was working in the countryside, in the San Nicola district, and was clearing the land of pruned branches , near the tracks.
