The mayor of Genoa Marco Bucci was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery for skin cancer.

In a note, the Galliera hospital communicates that Bucci was "subjected to surgery by the maxillofacial and reconstructive plastic surgery team for a lymph node metastasis from a skin neoplasm".

«The intervention – it is further specified – had a positive outcome ».

According to what is reported in the press release, Bucci will remain hospitalized for approximately 5 days and "will subsequently be subjected to the appropriate therapies".
