Andrea Sempio, under investigation for the murder of Chiara Poggi, says he expects a committal for trial.
"I'm committing the case for trial," he explained in an interview on the Canale 5 program Verissimo, "in the sense that we expect to get to a preliminary hearing. We'll see what happens at the preliminary hearing; we're obviously aiming for an acquittal. We don't think there's any basis for moving forward with the trial."
This is the third time he has been under investigation and "this is the most difficult time and I hope it will be the last" he added, calling 2025 "the most difficult year".
In this affair, "fan groups have formed, and some of them are against me. I'm a wanted guilty party. There are people who want to celebrate my conviction."
