He could not handle the death of his only son Mauro Pamiro, 44, and the justice's decision to close the investigation into the case.

The IT professor of the Galilei Institute was found dead on a construction site in Crema (Cremona) in June 2020, having fallen from the roof of a building under construction.

According to the preliminary investigation judge, who closed the case on 6 September, it was an accidental fall. For three years, however, his mother Marisa Belloni was always convinced that her son had been murdered : the 72-year-old, faced with so much pain, couldn't take it and last Tuesday she killed herself.

The news was reported today by the newspaper Il Giorno. The tragedy was discovered by her ex-husband Franco who met the woman every day to talk about her son and to develop, with the lawyers, new arguments to reopen the case.

The prosecutor's office had opened a murder investigation , as a duty, against Debora Stella, Mauro's wife, for which the case was then requested to be dismissed. The 44-year-old's mother and father had opposed it . The investigating judge then ordered new investigations from the prosecutor , who again requested the dismissal, which was accepted by the investigating judge on 6 September.
