Investigations continue into the death of 53-year-old Erika Ferini Strambi, found dead last Wednesday in the countryside between Pantigliate and Peschiera Borromeo. The Carabinieri and the Milan prosecutor suspect, among other theories, that the Luxottica manager was murdered. She disappeared during the night between July 5th and July 6th, and a farmer discovered her body about 200 meters from her car, a Mini Cooper that had ended up in a ditch.

The last images of the woman were captured by security cameras recording her wandering, after an evening spent at a bar , alone in her car on the provincial roads between Linate Airport and the Lodi area, always in the opposite direction to the one that would have taken her home to Milan, where she lived alone. The Mini had its doors locked and the keys inside, and her body was in an area difficult to reach, especially since the 53-year-old was using crutches due to a disability she had been born with . The police found neither her purse, documents, nor her cell phone.

Another suspicious element is the underwear, removed and left next to the body, which leads to the hypothesis that the victim may have met someone before her death. Analysis of the phone records has so far yielded no results. The woman's cell phone has been turned off since dawn on July 6th and has always connected to the same cell. It is therefore possible that it ran out of battery, perhaps after being thrown into some ravine.
