Eralda Spahllari, 19, and Barbara Brotto, 17, were the names of the two girls who died in the car accident in the Treviso area ( HERE THE NEWS ). Eralda attended the Lepido Rocco school in Motta, she lived in Ponte di Piave: she wanted to become a beautician, while Barbara Brotto was from Oderzo.

The nineteen year old was next to the driver while the very young friend was in the back seat, on the left side, of the BMW 420 which was destroyed in the crash against a plane tree probably due to the high speed. The driver of the vehicle, a nineteen-year-old from Pravisdomini, now hospitalized in resuscitation at the Ca' Foncello hospital in Treviso, and an eighteen-year-old from Motta di Livenza, transported to hospital in Mestre, in serious condition, were seriously injured.

The accident occurred in the Municipality of Gorgo al Monticano along a straight road that leads to Motta di Livenza, the locality from which the young people came.

Some witnesses of the terrible accident have spoken of another car involved in the dynamics of the crash.

Witnesses also reported the desperation of those aboard the other car referred to as a Polo. Subsequently the carabinieri traced who was on board the second car: now they are being heard by the military. Acquaintances of the victims brought bouquets of flowers to the scene.
