Drunk and in a state of psychophysical alteration, he climbed the statue of Dante Alighieri in Piazza Santa Croce in Florence. And, to bring it back to the ground, it was necessary to use a crane.

The protagonist of the eventful intervention by the police and firefighters was a 24-year-old Senegalese.

After the signaling, the men of 115 entered into action on the spot, who reached the top of the monument inside the basket of the crane, starting a difficult negotiation to get the young man off.

Brought back to the square, under the eyes of many onlookers who have filmed the scene with smartphones, the 24-year-old took it out on the police officers who wanted to identify him. A policeman also fell to the ground and at that point 118 intervened, to whom the boy was entrusted.

The 24-year-old was finally denounced for resistance, while apparently the statue has not suffered damage.
