The search has moved from the grass of Villa Pamphili to the waters of the Tiber River. But the ultimate goal is always the same: to reconstruct what happened before the double murder of Anastasia Trofimova and her 11-month-old daughter Andromeda. Investigators are on the trail of a trolley, the same one that Kaufmann, the alleged murderer, had with him when he was seen in the center of Rome. Inside that suitcase, it is assumed, Anastasia's personal items could have been hidden: this is why the divers are scanning the area around Ponte Garibaldi in particular.

In that area Francis Kaufmann, arrested in Greece because he is believed to be the perpetrator of the murders, was last seen around June 10 with a trolley suitcase, which he did not have with him the following day when he boarded the flight to Skiathos. The checks are also involving the river banks.

In the meantime, investigators have questioned the owner of an apartment in Campo de' Fiori, where Kaufmann stayed in April together with the 28-year-old Russian woman and the child.

The witness reported that, after having paid a deposit, the three left the accommodation without paying the full amount of the stay. As for Kaufmann's extradition from Greece, an official decision is still pending (the dedicated hearing was yesterday).
