Another attack on healthcare personnel at the Foggia hospital occurred last night: in the emergency room, three nurses were attacked with kicks and punches by a patient who had come in feeling anxious. He was an 18-year-old, who was then arrested by the Carabinieri who intervened to restore calm.
This new episode follows the attack suffered a few days ago by the health personnel of the same hospital, in the thoracic surgery department, when some relatives of a girl who died during an operation stormed the department , forcing doctors and nurses to barricade themselves in some offices.
Right in Foggia, following the multiplication of similar episodes, on September 16th a united demonstration of the hospital doctors' unions will be held: a mobilization to ask for more protection and safety.
