New clues found during the search of Vasile Frumuzache's home in Monsummano Terme (Pistoia) lead investigators in Prato to hypothesize that there may be other victims in addition to the two cases discovered so far.
The 32-year-old Romanian is a self-confessed criminal of the femicides of Ana Maria Andrei and Maria Denisa Paun in Prato and Montecatini Terme. But investigators believe his victims could be more than two.
The Prato prosecutor's office has decided to order the examination of seven years of telephone traffic to and from the landlines and cell phones that the security guard had access to during this period. The records of the telephone numbers used by the security guard will be examined with the aim of reconstructing the relationships and his network of contacts.
Even Frumuzache's confession, given under interrogation, of Paun's murder is being examined by the Prato investigators, who hypothesize the presence of accomplices considering weak points in his story, gaps or omissions. On the table is the hypothesis that the 32-year-old may not have acted alone - as he instead said - in the operations of concealment and suppression of the body. Also because in the room where Frumusache said he strangled and then decapitated Paun there are no traces of blood, nor apparent signs of cleaning of blood material.
Meanwhile, tomorrow morning there will be a hearing to validate the 32-year-old's arrest warrant, where just today he was attacked by a victim's cousin who threw boiling oil in his face.
