In Campania there is a "highly worrying flare-up of contagion, we are in full fourth wave".
And so Vincenzo De Luca is ready to reopen the intensive care units and to resume the aggressive rhetoric that characterized him during the first lockdown.
With the latest regional ordinance, the governor bans "parties and feasts", "no gatherings at Christmas and New Year", he warns. On the street, no drinks are consumed, "only water is fine", he specifies. It is also forbidden to eat out, and citizens who already ask for clarification during his direct Facebook specifies: “Takeaway is not forbidden, everyone can take pizza home. It is forbidden to be peasants and consume pizzas in the street as refugees. Not only for Covid, also for reasons of decorum and civility ".
"If this wave continues - he continues - we should close ordinary wards and reopen the intensive care ones, I have instructed the general managers to reactivate the places starting with the modular hospitals we have built".
"If we lose our minds in the week from Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve - it warns us that we lose everything we have done in recent months and we find ourselves in mid-January having to close again".
Satisfied with the resumption of the vaccination campaign, "yesterday we had 40 thousand vaccinated, many of which with the first dose".
