Confessed the wife of Shefki Kurti , the 72-year-old Albanian citizen residing in Badia Polesine found dead and torn to pieces in the waters of the Adigetto canal at the end of July in the province of Rovigo.

The woman, Nadire Kurti, was arrested last Saturday and is now guarded in the Psychiatry Department of the Rovigo hospital: the prosecutor will arrange some checks to verify her mental health conditions.

It was Kurti's family - the couple has two adult children - who formalized the report of disappearance on Sunday 24 July, the day when a quarrel between the man and his wife was reported. The discovery of the pieces of the body, closed in some garbage bags, took place between 28 and 31 July last.
