The second trial at the Ancona court for the Lanterna nightclub massacre in Corinaldo, in which five minors and a 39-year-old mother died on the night between 7 and 8 December 2018, ended with acquittal for the most serious crimes .

All the defendants were acquitted because the fact does not fully subsist from the charges of multiple manslaughter and manslaughter. Quinto Cecchini, manager of the nightclub, was also acquitted.

After the conviction of the spray gang , the second first degree trial for nine defendants concluded today at the Ancona court, including the former mayor of Corinaldo Matteo Principi, the members of the commission who issued the license to the disco that did not comply with according to the Prosecutor's Office. The sentences

The tragedy

On the night between 7 and 8 December 2018, five minors and a 39-year-old mother died at the Lanterna Azzurra nightclub in Corinaldo. Inside the restaurant, in via Madonna del Piano, just before one o'clock, chilli pepper was sprayed to carry out the theft of necklaces by a gang of boys from Lower Modena (six already definitively convicted in the Court of Cassation with sentences between 10 and 12 years and the seventh has a first degree sentence decided last year of 10 years and 5 months). In the nightclub there was a mass escape towards the only security door found open, exit number 3. The crowd made the fleeing public fall onto the ramp, forming a cap and causing the protective balustrades to collapse.

Asia Nasoni, 14 years old, from Mondolfo, Daniele Pongetti, 16 years old, from Senigallia, Benedetta Vitali, 15 years old, from Fano, Mattia Orlandi, 15 years old, from Frontone, Emma Fabini, 14 years old, from Senigallia died of crushing and asphyxiation. and Eleonora Girolimini, 39 years old, mother of 4 children, also from Senigallia. Ugo Di Puorto, considered the main accused because for the prosecution it was he who pressed the button on the pepper spray canister (it was found on his DNA), Raffaele Mormone, his faithful friend, Andrea Cavallari, were part of the spray gang. , Moez Akari, Haddada Souhaib, Badr Amouiyah and Riccardo Marchi.
