The bodies of three other victims of the Casamicciola landslide on Ischia have been identified. The first two this morning in the via Celario area, the third in via Santa Barbara a few hours later.
The bodies belong to Gianluca Monti, 37, Salvatore Impagliazzo, who would have turned 32 in two days, and Valentina Castagna . Impagliazzo was the companion of Eleonora Sirabella, the first confirmed victim of the landslide . Monti and Castagna, on the other hand, were the parents of the three children who died under the mud and had already been extracted from the rubble.
Impagliazzo's body was found in via Santa Barbara, in an abandoned house after the 2017 earthquake, very far from the one in which he lived with Eleonora. The rescuers traced it thanks to an intuition 300 meters from the place where it was thought it could be, thrown towards the valley by the fury of mud, boulders and debris that started from the top of Epomeo and swelled along the way, overwhelming everything that he met on his way, effectively canceling the house where Salvatore and Eleonora lived.
Monti, on the other hand, was spotted in an area thought to be the garden of his home but which mud has made it impossible to map with certainty.
This leaves only one missing, eleven bodies found .
