Foggia fugitive Leonardo Gesualdo, 39, was arrested at dawn today. Investigators believe him to be a leading figure in the "Foggia Society." He had been wanted since 2020 after escaping the Decimabis raid and was sentenced to 12 years in prison for mafia association. He was on the list of the most dangerous fugitives.

Carabinieri from the GIS (Italian Special Operations Unit) arrested him in a house on the outskirts of Foggia while he was sleeping. He offered no resistance. During the search, a pistol with six rounds in the magazine was found.
