A 17-year-old boy from Frattamaggiore, in the province of Naples, is in mortal danger after consuming what is being called "high honey" online, a highly potent and dangerous concentrated cannabis-based drug.
The boy arrived at the hospital, along with two other young people, aged 19 and 22, in serious respiratory distress.
According to an initial reconstruction by the Carabinieri, the three, after meeting at the minor's house, consumed the drug, probably just one teaspoon, and immediately felt ill.
The minor's parents immediately called 118, who transferred the 17-year-old to the San Paolo Hospital in Naples, where he is in critical condition and in danger of dying.
The other two boys are in a state of shock but have not suffered any serious consequences. The jar containing the gelatinous drug was provided to the Carabinieri directly by the 17-year-old's father. Initial tests conducted on the contents of the jar—which was seized—tested positive for cannabinoids.
