Two people have been arrested by the Paola Public Prosecutor's Office as part of the investigation into the death of Antonio Perrotta, the 34-year-old from Fuscaldo who died after a beating outside a nightclub in Sangineto. The investigation was conducted by the Cosenza Flying Squad, the Diamante Police Station, and the Carabinieri of the Paola and Scalea companies.
The two arrested men, identified by police and Carabinieri in Belvedere Marittimo thanks to video surveillance footage, are brothers, originally from the area but living and working abroad, although they periodically return to their hometown. They will be interviewed by Paola's Public Prosecutor, Domenico Fiordalisi, for a more detailed assessment of their position regarding the investigation into the murder, which, according to reports, is aggravated by frivolous motives.
During the investigation, officers from the Cosenza Flying Squad and the Diamante police station, as well as Carabinieri officers from the Paola and Scalea companies, also collected testimony from numerous individuals. This evidence led the Paola Prosecutor's Office to issue the warrant against the two arrested individuals. According to an initial reconstruction, there was an initial argument over trivial matters inside the nightclub, which then escalated outside, resulting in the victim being beaten.
