Boarding the ferry to Sardinia with 11 kilos of cocaine
The drugs were hidden in the car in which his wife and two daughters were travelingIn the car, with his two little daughters, he was about to embark in Livorno on the ferry to Sardinia. But he ran into a check by the Guardia di Finanza and 11 kilos of pure cocaine were found in his car which, if placed on the market, would have had a value of over 3 million euros.
The family consisted of a father - 40 years old, a foreigner -, a mother and two girls. The drugs had been hidden in the back seat and according to the Fiamme Gialle, the man essentially made himself a "shield" for his daughters, trying to evade the checks.
However, he hadn't counted on the nose of two anti-drug Labradors: Jambo and Brook.
The 40-year-old was arrested.
