There is a new suspect in the investigation into the death of Donato Denis Bergamini, the Cosenza footballer who died on November 18, 1989, on State Road 106 in Roseto Capo Spulico.
The Carabinieri of the Cosenza Provincial Command have notified the Castrovillari Prosecutor's Office of the conclusion of preliminary investigations against a 65-year-old man under investigation for complicity in murder, following the conclusion of the investigation by the Carabinieri of the Cosenza Investigative Unit.
Currently on trial for Bergamini's murder is his ex-girlfriend Isabella Internò, who received a 16-year sentence in the first instance. The appeal verdict is expected on November 17.
