Internationally renowned architects and professors at the Milan Polytechnic, Stefano Boeri and Cino Zucchi, have been sent to trial for bid-rigging and false declarations regarding a conflict of interest in the international competition for the construction of the new European Library of Information and Culture (EIB) in Milan.

This was decided by preliminary hearing judge Fabrizio Filice, who also sent the other four professionals to trial and set the first hearing for April 17.
