The six convicts arrested this morning at dawn by the carabinieri of the Piedmontese capital, at the request of the Asti public prosecutor, are accused of having robbed a bank in Poirino, in the Turin area on 18 February.

According to the investigators, the suspects, expert robbers, would have entered a Unicredit branch with their faces covered and armed with guns and knives : after having immobilized employees and customers with plastic bands, they would have taken the contents of the safety deposit boxes taking away, as well as than to cash, including jewels, precious stones and ancient coins.

The robbery , which in some respects recalls the film "Inside Man", yielded a booty of about five hundred thousand euros .
