A Natisone encore averted. Two weeks after the tragedy in which three young people lost their lives, a similar story - with a completely different ending, fortunately - was repeated today in the Padua area, in Fontaniva.

Two boys were trying to cross the Brenta river when they were surprised by the flood and overwhelmed by the current. One somehow managed to reach the shore, the other saved himself by clinging to a log.

The alarm went off around 2pm, the firefighters, a Speleo Alpino Fluviale rescue team and a helicopter coming from Venice with divers on board were on site.

The boy on the log was recovered by a diver who lowered himself from the helicopter, the young man on the shore was directly loaded onto the aircraft. The police also intervened.
