Ancona: Woman beaten to death at home; husband unaccounted for

Tragedy in the province of Ancona, where a fifty-year-old woman of Macedonian origins , Sadjide Muslija, was found dead in a house in Pianello Vallesina, a hamlet of Monte Roberto.
According to initial reports , the woman was beaten to death by her husband, who is currently unaccounted for and did not show up for work this morning. The husband, a fellow Italian, had reunited with the victim after a separation.
The woman had been repeatedly abused by her husband, also 50, over the course of the year. He was also arrested last April after yet another attack on his wife: on that occasion, he had smashed down the bedroom door with an axe while the woman had taken refuge in a neighbor's house . "I'll kill you tonight," he had yelled at her, accusing her of an alleged affair.
Last July the man had agreed to a plea bargain and then the two spouses had started living together again.
