He had instructions on his cell phone and other electronic devices on how to prepare explosive devices or sabotage essential public services such as rail traffic and prisons.
An Italian anarchist was arrested by police on charges of possession of terrorist material and other crimes, following a pre-trial detention order issued by the investigating judge of the Rome Court, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office. He also faces charges of aggravated and permanent facial injuries, assault, and aggravated resistance to a public official, in connection with the wounding of a DIGOS officer during the demonstration in Rome on April 18 in support of Alfredo Cospito, an anarchist-insurrectionist militant currently being held under the 41-bis harsh prison regime in Sassari prison.
The restrictive measure was issued following a complex investigation coordinated by the Rome prosecutor's office and conducted by the Rome Police Headquarters' Special Operations Division (DGOS). The investigation began with the facial injury sustained by the deputy director of the Rome Police Headquarters' Special Operations Division (DGOS) at the April 18 demonstration, which saw moments of tension.
The search that followed and subsequent investigations led to the discovery of instructions for explosive devices and sabotage in the electronic devices used by the arrested anarchist.
