Ambush in Mattinata: a man shot dead

Shot ambush yesterday afternoon in Mattinata (Foggia), in the Tagliata area.
Bartolomeo Pio Notarangelo, 36, was in one of the lands purchased a few years ago when someone shot him, probably after following him.
The victim, it is understood, had a history of weapons and drugs.
His farm, where he also raised livestock, was recently hit by an anti-mafia interdiction from the prefect of Foggia Maurizio Valiante. Furthermore, in 2020 he took part in the maxi escape from Foggia prison and then handed himself over to the police a few days later. The father of 36-year-old Bartolomeo Pio Notarangelo is the cousin of Angelo Notarangelo, former boss of the Vieste clan of the same name, killed in 2015.
The investigations are followed by the police.
