A burglary occurred at the home of Napoli footballer Allison Almeida de Santos . In the early hours of this morning, according to the Naples Prefecture, the striker, in his home in Giugliano in Campania, noticed thieves in his house as soon as he woke up .

The criminals then fled in Allison Santos's car . The vehicle was recovered by the Carabinieri in the nearby town of Villaricca.

According to initial investigations by officers from the Giugliano police station, a Rolex watch and a necklace were apparently stolen . No one was injured, and it's currently unclear whether the thieves fled because they noticed the footballer's presence or not.

Allison Santos is currently injured. Yesterday, during the Napoli-Roma match, she was in the stands to watch the Azzurri play. Following the incident, the Prefect has ordered a significant intensification of surveillance activities, with particular attention to residential areas and arterial roads in the northern part of the metropolitan city, to prevent predatory crimes and increase citizens' sense of safety. The matter will be "subject to thorough examination" during the next meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, which the mayors of the affected municipalities will also be invited to attend to develop further strategies to combat widespread crime.
