The checks involved gyms, wellness and beauty centers equipped with "cryochambers" or "cryosaunas" that can reach temperatures down to -130 ° C, a method offered for maintaining physical efficiency, as well as aimed at the prevention and rehabilitation of particular pathologies .

A total of 488 structures were inspected: 50 non-compliant situations, which led to complaints for 16 owners and operators, in addition to the challenge of administrative sanctions for a total amount of 165 thousand euros.

13 cryocabins were seized as they were used in unauthorized structures or used for therapeutic treatments by unqualified personnel, as well as 5 electromedical devices for cryotherapy illegally detained. There are three suspension or closure measures.

There were 74 violations ascertained, 18 of which attributable to the abusive exercise of the health profession, to the abusive activation of aesthetic medicine clinics, to irregularities in the management and possession of drugs as results expired.
