Struck multiple times by a knife: an 81-year-old woman was found dead this afternoon in her home on Via Pezza, in Mesenzana, in the Varese area . By the time emergency services arrived, there was nothing they could do for the elderly woman. Her 80-year-old husband is believed to have attacked her.

Neighbors reportedly raised the alarm when they saw the elderly man, who was later arrested by the Carabinieri, screaming in front of the house. The man was taken to the police station for judicial review.

The area has been cordoned off, and investigators are conducting all necessary investigations. In March 2023, on the same street, Andrea Rossin stabbed his two children, Giada and Alessio, aged 13 and 7, to death before taking his own life.
