The accident occurred this morning in Vicenza. The woman, after being hit, was thrown through the car's windshield, shattering it, while her four-month-old baby was catapulted onto the asphalt, suffering a head injury.

The mother was transported to San Bortolo Hospital in Vicenza in serious condition, while the newborn is hospitalized in the pediatric ward, with non-life-threatening conditions. Vicenza local police were on site to assess the accident.
