The Carabinieri of the Madonna del Riposo station in Rome intervened at a B&B in Via Dandolo, in the Trastevere area, following a 38-year-old woman's call for help to 112 .
She was on vacation with her partner, both from Sardinia. It was a nightmare vacation because during the night, at the height of yet another petty argument, he began beating her, kicking and punching her . The Carabinieri, arriving on the scene, found the man and arrested him for mistreatment, taking him to Rebibbia prison to await a sentencing hearing.
The victim, covered in bruises, was taken to Santo Spirito Hospital by ambulance and is expected to recover in 21 days.
