A newborn baby has a respiratory crisis in a car, and the Highway Police intervened to help her. It happened around 11:20 a.m. this morning at the A/12 Campodonico parking lot, between the Chiavari and Rapallo toll booths. A family traveling to Turin attracted the attention of a Sampierdarena traffic police patrol car that was passing by at the time.
Inside the car, in addition to the parents, was a 5-month-old baby with obvious breathing difficulties . The parents asked for the baby to be taken to the hospital as soon as possible.
The patrol, working in conjunction with the radio room, escorted the vehicle to the Giannina Gaslini Pediatric Hospital, bypassing a traffic jam in the Recco area. The little girl was taken into care by the Gaslini emergency room unit .
