Three people were killed in a horrific accident that occurred Thursday morning in Sicily, on the Palermo-Agrigento road.

A truck and a medical car were involved. The two paramedics aboard the medical car and the dialysis patient they were transporting were killed in the violent impact.

The collision occurred in the Misilmeri area, in the Coda di Volpe district. After raising the alarm, officers from the Lercara Friddi Highway Police, the Carabinieri, and paramedics from 118 responded to the scene. Traffic on the highway was blocked.
