A breakthrough has been achieved in the investigation into the death of Salerno journalist Luigi “Luca” Esposito, who was found charred last Sunday on farmland in Eboli.

Following investigations led by the Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted by the Investigative Unit of the Salerno Provincial Command, the man believed to be responsible for the murder of the 53-year-old has been identified and arrested on suspicion of crime.

The arrested man was hiding inside an abandoned farmhouse . The Carabinieri intervened with the support of the Technical Investigations Unit of the ROS and the Puglia Hunters Squadron.
