Another tragedy at work , this time in the Vicenza area. A worker, engaged in maintenance work along the A31 Valdastico Nord, was run over and killed by a car whose driver did not notice the construction site.

The accident occurred during the night at the Vicenza Nord exit.

At the wheel was a 19-year-old who following the investigations was arrested for road homicide : according to initial information he would have had a BAC of over 1.50, well beyond the legal limit of 0.5.

The worker's colleagues immediately gave the alarm and called 118. The 53-year-old, hit by the small car, was thrown about thirty meters away , the impact proved fatal, and the rescue was useless.

Traffic police officers also intervened on the spot.
