A 43-year-old man, Filippo Scavo, died after being wounded by a gunshot inside a nightclub in Bisceglie.

The man was treated by 118 paramedics and died shortly after arriving at the emergency room of Bisceglie Hospital at 4:40 a.m. He had a wound at the base of his neck. The victim was from Carbonara, in the province of Bari.

The gunfire sparked panic among those present, who sought shelter and an escape route to avoid injury. Law enforcement intervened and is investigating the incident.
