Stefania Palmieri, 36, who died yesterday in a car accident on the A22 Brennero motorway, is expected to give birth soon . Her unborn baby also died in the crash.
The local edition of Resto del Carlino and the Gazzetta di Modena reported it.
The accident occurred yesterday morning on the A22 motorway between Mantova Nord and Nogarole Rocca. Stefania Palmieri's car collided, for reasons yet to be determined, with a heavy vehicle in front. There was nothing that could be done for her and her child.
The victim was from Modena and worked in Dolo (Venice) for a Milan-based clothing company. She lived in Padua. Her family, medical professionals from Modena, and her partner are in shock. Emergency personnel attempted to resuscitate her for a long time, but Stefania died instantly, along with her baby. The car was trapped under the truck.
The Verona traffic police are reconstructing the accident. The funeral may be scheduled for Monday.
