A 35-year-old man dies while waiting for his wife in a car parked in the sun.

A 35-year-old man died this afternoon in Otranto, Salento, while he was in the car with his 3-year-old daughter waiting for his wife.

The vehicle, it was reported, was parked in a sunny area. The cause of death appears to be a heart attack, possibly triggered by the high temperatures.

The victim was originally from Sierra Leone. Around 4:00 PM, he had gone with his young daughter to pick up his wife, who had finished her shift at a hotel. When she came out, she found him already dead. The intervention of the 118 emergency medical personnel was unsuccessful.

The Carabinieri also intervened on the scene.
