Two 17-year-old Italians and two 16-year-old Sri Lankans were arrested by the Carabinieri for attempted murder, possession of a weapon, and aggravated assault. The four are the alleged perpetrators of an attack on February 1st on Via Salasco in Milan, which targeted two 20-year-olds from Chiavenna (Sondrio). The minors are being held in juvenile detention due to their "marked ease" in using violence and weapons, as well as their complete lack of empathy.
Three of the four have prior convictions for robbery and assault. According to the Carabinieri Investigative Unit, one of the victims was punched for trivial reasons, and when his friend defended him, the entire group of minors turned their violence against him, blinding him with pepper spray and stabbing him twice, once in the sternum and once in the head.
Even though the victim was now lifeless on the ground and bleeding heavily, the four continued to attack him with kicks and punches. The stabbed man was saved by the arrival of the Carabinieri, who scared everyone away, and by emergency services, who stopped the bleeding.
