A 10-year-old boy died in hospital after being seriously injured last night in a car accident on Via Zanica in Bergamo. The boy was riding with his 52-year-old father, who was also seriously injured, on a Ducati motorcycle that collided with a heavy vehicle.

Still in Bergamo, but in the province – in Spinone al Lago – another road tragedy: a 78-year-old woman died after being hit by a motorcycle.

The details of the accident are still under investigation: the elderly woman was struck by the motorcycle driven by a 58-year-old man while she was crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing. The man was uninjured.
