A four-year-old girl died this afternoon in Lecce nei Marsi, in the province of L'Aquila, after being hit by a motorcycle.
The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation. Emergency medical services (118) initially responded to the scene with an ambulance departing from Pescina. A helicopter rescue service also arrived later, having managed to reach the area despite adverse weather conditions. Paramedics attempted to revive the child for over an hour, but all efforts were unsuccessful. The Carabinieri also arrived at the scene of the accident, conducting investigations to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the accident and clarify the circumstances of the tragedy.
