A two-year-old boy was locked in his mother's car this morning in Bari. While the mother went to get a spare key, some passersby broke the window to free him. The incident occurred on a street in the San Girolamo neighborhood.

The child had started crying, and some worried passersby called the Carabinieri, the fire department, and emergency services. Others, however, smashed one of the windows to get him out of the car . It was reported that the child, playing with the car remote control, blocked the central locking system, but was unable to unlock it despite his mother's attempts to explain it from outside. The woman then went home to retrieve the spare key. But when she returned to the street, she found passersby, emergency workers, and her visibly frightened son.

The child was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but his condition is not life-threatening . The Carabinieri are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
