After a 93-57 victory in Great Britain, Italy is looking for a repeat victory against the British to secure a spot in the second qualifying round for the 2027 Basketball World Championship. The match will be played tomorrow evening in Livorno (7:30 PM) in a sold-out arena. Coach Banchi's national team is tied for first with Iceland, ahead of Great Britain and Lithuania. The top three teams from each group of four advance.

Point guard Flaccadori, winger Procida, and winger Ricci (Milan) have joined the Italian team. Point guard Casarin, guard/forward Veronesi, formerly of Dinamo, and winger Diouf are leaving the twelve.

Marco Spissu, formerly of Dinamo, currently in Spain where he plays for Zaragoza, has been confirmed as the midfielder.
