On Tuesday 3 June, the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, will receive the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, in Rome for a working meeting. Sources from Palazzo Chigi reported, explaining that the main themes of the bilateral, European and international agenda will be at the centre of the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., as indicated in the section of the website of the Presidency of the Council dedicated to the agenda. Also on Tuesday 3 June, at 3:30 p.m., Meloni will receive the Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico.
The meeting follows a phase of tension between Italy and France, which emerged precisely over Ukraine and the possible sending of troops to Kiev . It could represent the beginning of a thaw in relations between the two countries.
