The first men's semifinal of the Internazionali d'Italia goes to Carlos Alcaraz. On the central court at the Foro Italico, the Spanish tennis player beat the Italian Lorenzo Musetti with a score of 6-3 7-6(4) in just over two hours (2h02') and will be in the final on Sunday in Rome. Tonight after 8:30 pm it will be Jannik Sinner's turn, against Tommy Paul, after the world number 1 beat Casper Ruud yesterday .

A difficult first set for Musetti, who immediately goes down 2-0 and then 4-1 after winning his first game. The Italian manages to sketch out a comeback attempt and takes the lead 4-3, but then succumbs in just under an hour by 6-3 .

The second set begins with Musetti taking an early break, but Alcaraz responds and brings the score back to parity. It is not enough for the Tuscan to go to 3-1 and then to 4-2, because his opponent reverses the situation and equalizes and then goes ahead for the first time in the set at 5-4 (also thanks to a penalty point for Musetti). The Italian makes it 5-5, then Alcaraz goes to 6-5. Musetti cancels a match point and manages to forcefully equalize the series, extending the set to the tie-break where he goes down 5-2, comes back to 5-4 but then comes the decisive attack from the Spaniard who closes 7-4 .

In the early afternoon, Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani won the women's doubles semifinal 6-4 6-4 against the Russians Diana Shnaider and Mirra Andreeva: they are in the final, they will face the winner of Kudermetova/Mertens-Perez/Sanders. And Paolini is also in the final in the women's singles, against Coco Gauff .
